Satellite imagery shows the construction of infection hospital for COVID patients nearby Moscow
JSC TERRA TECH, a subsidiary of JSC Russian Space Systems (RSS, part of the State Corporation ROSCOSMOS) is monitoring the infection center construction in New Moscow. The hospital will serve to prevent the coronavirus (COVID-19) further spread.

The report contains information on the progress of hospital construction, which began on March 12, 2020. As of March 28, 2020, analytics indicates the readiness of the treatment blocks, intensive care units and other service blocks. The state of the future medical center objects is calculated as comparison of remote sensing data with the project documentation available on the open sources (without taking into account internal and underground works that are not distinguishable on satellite imagery).

In the current epidemiological situation, the new infection center is a strategically important object not only for Moscow and the Moscow region but also for the entire country. Government, authorities, media and Russian citizens will be provided with definite information about hospital construction using regular remote sensing monitoring.

Remote sensing and geo-information services commercial operator JSC TERRA TECH is using imagery from Russian and foreign remote sensing satellites for preparing the analytical reports.
